For semester 2 we have a new brief called “Border Crossings”. The module is split into three parts and is aimed to reflect your own sense of culture and identity. I have decided to use my own representation of Scotland which is what I see in my everyday life as I live here. Originally from a town called Kilsyth, near Glasgow, I am used to the environment being cast with a smoggy grey cloud. In Dundee I decided to go on some location drawings and draw some city-scape. I was able to take some drawings of the Tay and city buildings. I noticed my collected images showed an industrial city with some unique splashes of colour and detail. Whether it be on council buildings or chimney pots they stood out from the pearly mist. I have decided I want to look more into this topic and create some more abstract images.
